PREVIOUS SUCCESSFUL EVENTS:
The Call of Eros:
Creativity and Love
Friday April 18, 2008
9:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M.
National University in Carlsbad
The whole adventure of creativity is about joy and love and liberation. The path of individuation, the road to recovery, the hero’s journey and the artist’s process of discovery also go through a similar archetypal pattern of change. They all require a risk-taking, a letting-go, an element of surprise and synchronicity and bring forth healing, wholeness and transformation.
In this workshop I invite the therapist to awaken to the creative calls coming from inside themselves, to become more attuned to the calls their clients are recieving and to learn how to navigate and enthusiastically encourage these openings with breakthrough expressive arts experiences, exercises and understandings.

Like all heroic journeys the creative process invites you to take a leap forward in your life. In this intensive we will use a variety of expressive arts techniques to teach you how to dive deeply into your own treasure chest safely and how to surface successfully with the gifts that emerge. You will come to see with the eyes of your heart to awaken your creative intellect and to expand your capacity to express your inner experience. Allow yourself to be present for the sudden realizations that come through listening, writing, speaking, moving, playing, laughing, painting, singing, dancing and being together.

"The Play's The Thing": Improvisational Psychodramatic Techniques or,
("Hawaiian Island Improvisational Adventures" )
Saturday Afternoon, February 7, 2004
Expressive Arts Therapy focuses on the willingness to be spontaneous; to be in the moment; to be creative, intuitive and expressive. On this day we will experience how movement, play, improvisation and dramatic enactment can awaken understanding of core psychological issues and move our clients to the next level of their growth. With Playback Theatre and other improvisational techniques, we will deeply explore the transforming power of "story-play." Come participate and watch our stories come alive, as they will with your clients, when we risk telling them in new ways - with artistry and authenticity.
